Joseph Tufo
In 2005 I formed aDuet which later became ‘Joseph Tufo Photography’ whilst I undertook my Degree in Photography and digital imaging. In 2006, having been a member of the Royal Photographic Society for 3 years, I obtained my Associateship (ARPS). I also became a Licentiate Member of the British Institute of Professional Photographers in 2007. I have always been passionate about my photography since I first obtained my Box Brownie camera as a boy scout to earn my photography badge, one of my first photographs was of my fellow scouts standing in the inlet of a new KLM jet having been hoisted up to the engine by our scout leader – I don’t think that could ever happen again!
As a photographer I love to photograph many of the unique characters you get at social events and their wonderful expressions especially in a natural reportage style. Going in the other direction it can also be great fun to choreograph groups to create fond, lasting memories that would not happen otherwise. At our studios in Surrey, we also do a variety of Portraiture & Architectural and Interior Design Photography using the necessary portable lighting equipment to give us flexibility in all locations. Recently we have started to do Photo Booth photography allowing people to dress in costumes, masks and wigs, which is great fun with people in a party mood!
